If it’s not worth $25B then people shouldn’t buy the shares. Facebook tried to buy it a while back for $3B so it’s probably worth at least that today, whether or not they’re making a profit. They’re only selling around 10 percent of the shares so founders and investors still have a lot at stake post IPO.

I do wonder if you’d be writing this nobler than pope post if you were an investor or if any founder would give up on this opportunity.

Apart from all that, it seems a bit strange to me that they’re spending $3.25 per user per year on servers. I thought Snap deletes the images after a short amount of time, so that surely puts costs down. But $500M per year on server costs seems absurd to me even if they did store every image. Of course, if that’s what the IPO docs that’s what they say…
