Can be risky putting a stand up at 2.30 in the afternoon. People may be trying to get into a flow state as Paul Graham puts it. You need multiple uninterrupted hours of coding. If you had lunch at 12.30–1 and a meeting at 2.30 you’ve broken your developers afternoon work in half likely drastically slowing them down.
Managers and developers are on different schedules. Managers like lots of one hour slots. People that don’t have their days packed with one hour meetings suffer when you split up their days. So I think doing the 10am stand up can make a lot of sense.
